MORNINGS WITH THE DADS, INC.

BREAKFAST WITH THE DADS - AT THE FARMHOUSE IN KANSAS CITY
"We are men that have lost part of ourselves when we lost our child or children.  We don't have to go through this walk alone, because we have each other.  We share our love and understanding with hope.  The children we mourn died at all ages and for many different causes, but our love for them unites us.  Your pain and hope becomes my pain and hope as we walk this path together.  This relationship draws us together, even closer than brothers.  This is a long journey we take together as we continue to live each day longing for our children.  All of us experience death of our children differently.  Some are angry, some are depressed, some are mad at God, some at peace with God.  We are all Dads that have lost our child, but as we learn to lean on each other, we also have hope."

When you lose a child the world stops, you feel like you are at a dead-end, all alone and that there is no hope.  The world continues to move on and moves on at a very fast pace.  It all seems like a blur as time seems to stand still for you.  You look at the road ahead and are not sure what waits around the bend or what the future holds.  One step at a time, one day at a time, you can slowly move forward and find the life that your child would want you to so desperately find.  All the dads in these groups bond together as brothers to walk the longest walk we will ever take.
